JSA DONATES $1283 IN RESPONSE TO THE KUMAMOTO EARTHQUAKE

July 10, 2016

At the end of the semester, given the sudden and tragic news of the Kumamoto earthquake on April 14th, 2016, JSA set up a fundraising event on the 20th of the same month at Upper Usdan, at which, with the generous help of many Brandeisians, raised a total of $1283.00.

We JSA wanted to give an update to the supporters on what happened to the money – on June 20th, we successfully donated 100 % of the money to the Kumamoto Earthquake Relief of the Japan Society in New York!

We would like to thoroughly thank all those who helped us fundraise, and hope the money will contribute to the recovery of Kumamoto and all affected areas.
